Discover the Joy of Birding! Join Naturalist Joshua Cohen for a fun and informative introduction to the world of birding, an activity that anyone of any age can enjoy! Date: Tuesday, Nov 4 (election day) Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am Cost: $10 per person Ages: All ages We'll begin indoors, where you'll learn how to use binoculars and discover easy ways to contribute to citizen science through birdwatching. Whether you're brand new to birding or just want a refresher, this session is perfect for you. Then, we’ll head out onto the preserve for a relaxing walk as we practice identifying birds by sight and sound. Feel free to bring your own binoculars, but don’t worry if you don’t have any, we’ll have extras available for the program. And if the weather cooperates, you’re in for a special treat: Steve Ricker, leader of the Westmoreland Bird Banding Program, will give us an up-close look at wild birds during a live banding demonstration! Come connect with nature, learn something new, and enjoy the relaxation of birding in a beautiful setting. We hope to see you there!
