Halloween Programs & Night Hike at Westmoreland Sanctuary Friday, October 11 | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM Join us for an unforgettable evening of Halloween fun at Westmoreland Sanctuary, where the magic of the season meets the mysteries of the natural world. This family-friendly event is perfect for nature lovers and curious explorers of all ages. Nature Center Pizza Dinner The evening begins with a pizza dinner in our Nature Center, served with seasonal treats. Meet the Bugs — If You Dare Get up close and personal with some of nature’s creepiest (and coolest) creatures. Our naturalists will introduce you to live insects, snakes, and more, sharing fascinating facts and helping you see these animals in a whole new light. Guided Night Hike through the Westmoreland Woods As dusk settles in, head out on a guided hike through the darkened forest trails of the Sanctuary. Listen for hooting owls, rustling leaves, and other sounds of the night as you explore the mysterious side of the natural world. Who, or what, might be watching from the shadows? Please dress appropriately for the weather and trail conditions. Costumes Encouraged Come in costume to help set the spooky scene. Whether creepy, creative, or nature-themed, all costumes are welcome and add to the festive atmosphere. Registration Required Space is limited, so be sure to register in advance. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
