Jackie will highlight the extraordinary life cycle of the mysterious American Eel. With many parts of their lives remaining unknown, scientists are continually asking questions. This presentation highlights local efforts to monitor the incoming baby American Eels, known as Glass Eels. Jackie Brooks is an Environmental Educator with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, through the Student Conservation Association. She has been working with the Norrie Point Environmental Education Center since getting their start interning with the Hudson River Eel Project in 2024.
