The Village of Tannersville and the Town of Hunter will celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s Independence on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with a community parade, live music, and festivities at Upper Lake Park in Tannersville, NY 12485. Parade Information: Lineup begins at 1:00 PM at the Tops/Go Green parking lot, with the parade stepping off at 2:00 PM. The parade will head east down Main Street, turn onto South Main Street, and end at Upper Lake Park. To register a float or marching group, please contact the Village Clerk’s Office. Upper Lake Park Festivities: Festivities begin at 3:00 PM and will feature live music throughout the day from local bands, including Sonny Rock and the Torpedoes. Enjoy bounce house amusements for the kids, vendors, lake activities, food, and more through dusk. The day’s grand finale will be a fireworks display over Rip Van Winkle Lake at 9:30 PM.
