Living History: Algonkian Life at John Jay Homestead
May 4, 2024 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Location: 400 Jay St, Katonah, NY 10536Join us for a hands-on presentation about Algonkian life in the Northeast during the 18th Century with Drew Shuptar-Rayvis (Pekatawas MakataweU “Black Corn”). Drew will take us on a journey that will examine changes in Algonkian life during the early-1700s, including daily living, customs of war, adoption/captivity, alliances, and friendships and marriages between Natives, Europeans and Africans.
