"Breeding Birds of the FDR Estate" Walk and Talk with Alan Peterson, a lifelong birder and Education Chair of the Ralph T. Waterman Bird Club of Dutchess County. The walk will focus on the breeding birds we see here during the summer months. Participants will learn to identify species by both sight and sound, with insights into their behavior, habitats, and ecological roles. Mr. Peterson is a retired veterinarian with MS in zoology, and shares his decades of experience in both animal health and field observations. His passion for birds and education continues to inspire naturalists of all ages. Bring binoculars if possible!
