Flax Breaking and Spinning with Barbara Johns

Barbara will demonstrate flax breaking, drop spindles and spinning wheel use as done in the 18th century and then explain how these fibers were spun and woven into cloth for clothing.Try your hand at spinning!

Food Preservation with Tom Hunt

Historian Tom Hunt displays  several different foodstuffs and explains the various methods that people living in the 18th century used to preserve and enhance their food in the days before refrigeration.
