Starting at 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, September 21st, the event features several live music performances including Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, stone house and village walking tours, children’s activities, Native American Equinox Ceremony, harvest market, art, antiques and crafts, woodworking, historical demonstrations, hot dogs and food trucks. The Hurley Heritage Day will take place along Schoolhouse Lane, between the Hurley Library and Hurley Heritage Museum located at 52 Main Street in Hurley. A part of the Hurley Heritage Society’s 50th anniversary year-long celebrations, ‘Hurley Day’, as it’s sometimes known, is a wonderful opportunity for the entire community to get together, and invite visitors to learn more and appreciate the unique character of the town. “We are so pleased to be able to organize a town-wide celebration after a five year break due to COVID” says Diane Blakely, Hurley Heritage Society’s president. “We not only get to share some of the special heritage of our town's 362-year long history, as well as the peoples who lived here before us, but to host an event in honor of our entire community, for the community and those who want to visit.” Hurley Heritage Day is free and open to the public, with fundraiser proceeds going to the all-volunteer Hurley Heritage Museum’s care.
