Event Type Walk/Hike Description We have new trails opening soon in Hyde Park, NY! Be one of the first to preview them on a guided hike with Winnakee’s Jen Adams, who led a team of volunteers to build this trail system. This preserve is not yet open to the public, so you’ll be among the first hikers to enjoy this interesting, forested landscape. Along the way, you’ll learn about an exciting woodland pollinator project and other stewardship efforts underway at what was once a former red pine plantation. The trail passes vernal pools, climbs a ridgeline, and offers views over a healthy hemlock stand.
