Picturesque and Sublime: Thomas Cole's Trans-Altantic Inheritance

Join Tim Barringer, Paul Mellon Professor in the History of Art, Yale University and co-curator of the Thomas Cole Site 2018 exhibition "Picturesque and Sublime: Thomas Cole's Trans-Altantic Inheritance," to discuss the exhibition opening in Thomas Cole's New Studio on May 1, 2018. Dr. Barringer is also co-curator of the major exhibition "Thomas Cole's Journey: Atlantic Crossings" opening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in January 2018 and traveling to the National Gallery, London.

The lecture will take place at 2pm at the Temple Israel located at 220 Spring Street, Catskill, NY 12414. The Temple is adjacent to the Thomas Cole National Historic Site located at 218 Spring Street, Catskill, NY 12414.
