June and July Family-Friendly Bike Tours to Kingston Point ParkJul 15, 2017, 10:00 AM Location: 50 Rondout Landing, Kingston, NY 12401
The Hudson River Maritime Museum announces two bike tours to Kingston Point Park on Saturday, June 17 and Saturday, July 15, 2017.
Learn more about the Rondout Lighthouse, Hudson River Day Line steamboat landing, and the amusement park at Kingston Point Park on these gentle, family-friendly bike rides.
We'll start at 10:00 am in front of the Hudson River Maritime Museum located in the historic waterfront district of downtown Kingston. After assembling, we will then bike down the road, following the gravel path along the trolley tracks (mountain bikes or bikes with wider tires are recommended). Along the way, we'll pause to talk about the Rondout Lighthouse, and then continue on to the steamboat landing.
While under the pavilion, we'll stop for a water and snack break (provided) and take a look at historic images of Kingston Point Park. Afterwards, we will return to the Museum along city streets.
Families are welcome. Please bring your own bike and mandatory biking helmets. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are $15 for HRMM members, $20 for non-members. Children age 7-16 are $10 for HRMM members, $15 for non-members. Children 6 and under free. Bike Tour tickets include water, snack and complimentary admission to the Hudson River Maritime Museum.
