Senator Charles E. Schumer

U.S. Senator Charles E. “Chuck” Schumer represents the State of New York in the U.S. Senate. He was also appointed to the Democratic Leadership team by Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). Senator Schumer also earned a seat on the Senate Finance Committee, which oversees the nation’s tax, trade, social security and health care legislation. In addition, he sits on the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; the Judiciary Committee; and the Rules Committee. He is the Ranking Member of the Administrative Oversight and the Courts Subcommittee and the Economic Policy Subcommittee. Prior to his election to the Senate, he represented the Ninth Congressional District in Brooklyn and Queens for eighteen years. Before that, he represented the Forty-Fifth Assembly District in Brooklyn for six years.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand

Kirsten E. Gillibrand was sworn in as New York's Senator in January 2009, filling the seat of the current Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Prior to her appointment to the United States Senate, Gillibrand served in the United States House of Representatives, representing New York's 20th Congressional District, which spans across ten counties in upstate New York. As the first New York Senator to sit on the Agriculture Committee in nearly 40 years, Senator Gillibrand is giving New York families the seat at the table they deserve as Congress debates food policy.  From her seat on the Aging Committee, Senator Gillibrand is committed to fighting on behalf of seniors, working to lower the cost of prescription drugs and make long term care more affordable so seniors can remain independent for as long as they are able. Senator Gillibrand also serves on the Foreign Relations Committee, where she is continuing her work on national security matters, focusing on cybersecurity, empowerment of women, and supporting the United States-Israel relationship.

Representative Eliot Engel
Congressman Engel represents the 17th District in New York State. Additionally, he serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee including the Subcommittees on Health, and Telecommunications and the Internet. He also serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee and is the Chairman of the Subcommitte on the Western Hemisphere, as well as serving on the Subcommittee on Europe, and the Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia. In addition he serves as Vice Chair of the Democratic Task Force on Homeland Security. He is the founder and Co-Chair of the House Oil and National Security Caucus, which is seeking clean, energy efficient alternatives to America's over-reliance on oil. He is also a member of the Democratic Task Force on Health and serves on the House Caucuses on Human Rights and the Hudson Valley.

Representative Sean Patrick Maloney

Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney proudly represents New York’s 18th district in the U.S. House of Representatives after he was first elected in November 2012. Congressman Maloney currently serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee which is important to creating jobs and boosting the economy in the Hudson Valley.

Representative Nita M. Lowey

Congresswoman Lowey represents the 18th District in New York State. Additionally she is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, where she serves as Chairwoman of the State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee, and the House Homeland Security Committee.

Representative Chris Gibson

Congressman Chris Gibson represents the 20th District of New York in the US House of Representatives. Congressman Gibson serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the Agriculture Committee.

Representative Paul Tonko

Congressman Paul D. Tonko represents the 21st District of New York, which includes the state's capital city, Albany.  In Congress, he is a member of the House Committee on Education and Labor and serves on the subcommittees for Higher Education and Healthy Families and Communities.  Building on his work in the New York State Assembly, where he fought for one of the nation's strongest mental health parity laws (known as "Timothy's Law"), Paul has always promoted fair and equitable healthcare policies that strengthen our communities and protect our most vulnerable citizens.  Congressman Tonko is also a member of the Committee on Science and Technology, which merges his energy expertise with his environmental agenda.  Serving on subcommittees for Energy and Environment, Research and Science Education and Technology and Innovation, Paul hopes to spur an environment where innovation and cutting-edge research and design spur economic development in the 21st Congressional District.
