Event Type Nature Photography Workshop Description Commune with nature while honing your photography skills on this 4 days/3 nights Labor Day Weekend Getaway. This weekend is perfect for amateur photographers who want to improve their skills and for anyone who just wants to enjoy one last summer holiday in the beautiful Hudson River Valley. Photographers should have basic technical knowledge (ISO, Shutter Speed, Exposure, F-stops, etc) and own a DSLR camera and tripod. Beth Mason and Geraldine Sweeney will focus on developing your skills using a tripod to photograph nature, targeting three different techniques. We will visit two different photo sites on Saturday - one in the morning and one in the afternoon - and review our shots on Saturday evening. Our final photo shoot will be on Sunday morning/early afternoon at a third location. Please bring your iPad or computer to upload your photos that day. If you don't plan to join the photography workshop, take advantage of our prime location in the heart of Harriman State Park to hike, boat, swim and relax. Come for 4 days and 3 nights to truly de-compress and soak in the last of the summer sunshine. Camp is accessible by public transportation and van shuttle. Stay in either a newly renovated cabin or a 3-sided shelter. Modern bath houses are nearby. Register by Aug 22 for Early Bird Prices. AMC Members receive a 20% discount.
