Event Type Historic Site Tour/History Description Learn why Washington Irving is called the "Original Knickerbocker" as we walk to the famous author's final resting place. Hear more about the talented Mr. Irving, his influence on popular culture today and reflect on why "The Legend" has never been out of print for more than 200 years! You'll also find out what the Receiving Vault used to receive, see the Revolutionary War monument, and admire this historic cemetery's lovely art and architecture along the way during a one-hour walking tour.
